Hello Better OB Forum

Hello All:

I must be the old guy so far on this new Forum.  I'm old enough to be either your father or grandfather.  So be it, I really like RPGs!

My 22 y/o son brought his new PS3 home over the Christmas break and 2 of his favs: Assassin's Creed and Oblivion.  While I think AC is an excellent game and has beautiful graphics, I really got hooked on OB.

He went back to school and I started having OB withdrawal.  Bot the GOTY and started looking for Forums and more info into this new area of Mods,etc.  (Had played all of the newer POP and really enjoyed them as well.)

Well folks, all I can say abt all of this new stuff is Thank You All ! for being so creative and for those of you that  share your Mods and Modding info.  All of you kids Rock!

Also bot Morrowind GOTY and Two Worlds neither of which has been played but both installed just to be sure.

Playing with PC, AMD, ATI 9550, Sound Blaster Card, Logitech Gamepad (told you I was old!) (And the 8.1 and 8.1 Hotfix for ATI does work and solves all of the Uninstall/re-install problems with OB and MW and the 8.1 Hotfix does fix the missing Direct3D file problem!

I thought I was only interested in armor Mods, but after seeing BetterOblivion, why stop there?  I'd love to learn how to make some Mods too.

yeah im currently making mods. i will be next week because i move today =D. i'll be sure to post my mods here so that i can become apart of jeremy's team.

oh and btw, you will be suprised to find just how many old people play games. i used to have a friend who played conquer online with me who was 62 :| lived in canada as i recall.

Well I certainly be looking for your Mods, Thanks for the heads up.  Since this Forum is so new I've had the opportunity to read all of the posts so far.  Seems like a great place to learn and get good advise.

Actually I'm not so surprised that a lot of us geezers play and enjoy these games, just surprised about how many will admit to being that old!

Well I'd like to think I'm wise in a couple of areas.  This new game stuff like Modding however, give me an experienced younger person any day!

I can get along fine with the younger set, I've got a 16 y/o daughter at home; Nickname is "The Princess of Darkness" if you get my drift!
